Will my compass, clock, and thermometer still work when I put an after-market radio in a 01 eclipse?

A little while ago the radio was asking for the code, I got that taken care of and now it works. But while it wasn't working the compass, clock, and thermometer also did not turn on. Once I put the code in everything turned on again. I am wondering if I put an after market radio system into the car will the clock and everything no longer work , and if so is there a way to get them to work?
The clock and everything is a separate display it does not show up on the radio device itself it is higher up on the dash.

Since the display for your radio also has the clock, compass, ect, and receives data from the radio, you will lose these functions if you remove the OEM radio.

The only way to keep your display working with an aftermarket radio is to extend the factory wire harness by splicing in wire long enough to reach the trunk, and mount the original radio there.

We did one for a customer and it worked out OK, but I would have kept the original head unit and upgraded the amp and speakers.

I've never seen a bypass kit for this.
