How can you plant seeds and have a date to the festivals in Harvest Moon Boy and Girl for PSP?

I'm new to that game and I need help, please help me, i need to know how to plant seeds and have a date to the festivals in Harvest Moon Boy & Girl for PSP. It would be nice of you if you will help me.

To plant seeds first equip your hoe then use it to til a three by three square in the dirt. After that equip your seeds then stand directly in the middle of the square of tilled land and use the seeds. Then they will be planted make sure you water them once a day. To get a date first you have to wait for a date festival then the day before the festival if a girl/boy likes enough you can invite them to be your date. I think you need a least a blue or green heart before they will go with you.
